Rapper DMX Arrest for Tax Fraud and Could Face 40 years Jail if Proved Guilty

 

On Thursday Rapper was arrested for hiding his income from IRS. He skirt $1.7 Million tax liabilities piled up between 2002 and 2005. Moreover he earned $2.3 between 2010 and 2015 for which he didn’t even filed income tax returns.

In a statement on Thursday Department of Justice noted “engaging in a multi-year scheme to conceal millions of dollars of income from the IRS”

“While raking in millions from his songs, including his 2003 hit ‘X Gon’ Give it to Ya,’ DMX didn’t give any of it to the IRS,” – .S. Attorney Joon H. Kim

He Avade tax by paying his expenses in cash and creating bank accounts and designating transactions on others name. He Put his pay checks in his managers account and get them in cash for his expenses.

DMX denied the charges and pleaded not guilty before a judge on friday . Later he was bailed out on $500000 Bond.

DMX is also known as Earl Simmons . As many as 14 offenses where filed against him. If proved guilty he could face a jail term of 40 years.
