A Nine old kids from New Jersey shocked everyone after applying for planetary protection officer job at NASA.
Jack wrote to NASA
“My name is Jack Davis and I would like to apply for the planetary protection officer job. I may be nine but I think I would be fit for the job.
“One of the reasons is my sister says I am an alien, also I have seen almost all the space alien movies I can see.
“I have also seen the show Marvel Agents of Shield and hope to see the movie Men In Black.
“I am young so can learn to think like an alien.”
His Signature Says
Guardian of the Galaxy.”
Director of NASA’s Planetary Science Division, James L. Green wrote back to Jack .
I heard that you are a Guardian of the Galaxy and that you are interested in being a Planetary Protection Officer. That’s cool!
Our vacancy for Planetary Protection Officer is very cool and is a very important job. It is about protecting the Earth from tiny microbes when we bring samples of the Moon, asteroids or Mars. It is also about protecting other planets and moons from our germs as we explore the Solar System.
We are always looking for bright future scientists and engineers to help us, so I hope you study hard and do well in school. We hope to see you here at NASA one of these days!”
Jack Davis has not gotten the job but has been heard by the United States Space Agency. In addition to having a response after applying for the vacancy, which will probably have achieved few candidates, the Galaxy Guardian has received a letter that will surely keep for many years.
