Dunkirk Movie Review
Arguably, Dunkirk is one way Christopher Nolan for ‘breaking’ our paradigm of war films that always show blood until the sadistic massacre committed by both parties. And yes, Christopher Nolan really managed to make this movie kindly watched for the boy.
As already said, before watching this movie, it’s good lo get rid of the idea that war movie will be full of blood that stagnates or ‘hard’ scenes like other war films. Because you will not find it all in Dunkirk.
Broadly speaking, Dunkirk himself took the setting of the second world war time. At that time, around the 1940s, the German attack succeeded in making England and France retreat to the coastal area of Dunkirk.
On paper, the war should have won Germany easily. British and French troops already urged to the shore, do not have a capable weapon to serve the attack of the German army.
Every hour that passed, the German army increasingly pushed by doing a lot of attacks from land, sea, and air. In effect, the attacks were successful to make the British and French soldiers very frustrated. Because they do not have a capable weapon, they just give up on the situation.
But at the end of the story, these frustrated soldiers end up winning in an amazing way.
Three Different Background Games
Like other Christopher Nolan films, in this movie, you should focus on all the story paths. If not, do not be surprised if at the end of the movie lo so complicated ask here and there because of endingnya gatau later.
In this film there will be several different background with important portion in each scene. Uniquely, from some of these settings, there are important things to be told by Nolan, but without the support of the main character. Yes, in this movie there is no champion!
Starting from British airplane pilots, to several soldiers who try to cross through the sea, including Harry Styles.

The reviews are in: Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk’ is apparently a bona fide masterpiece
Words like “Oscar” and “masterpiece” are getting thrown around.
Suffice to say, DUNKIRK is the cinematic event of the year. Nolan’s a master director, and he’s made this to be seen on as large a screen as you can find – and it’s rare to see such a human, real-life story get this kind of treatment. A real throwback epic, it’s the best film I’ve seen this year, and I highly doubt anything will come along to surpass it. It’s magnificent. 10/10 – joblo.com
A spare, propulsive, ever-intensifying combat thriller, Nolan’s history lesson is both a rousing celebration of solidarity and the tensest beach-set film since Jaws. 5 Star – http://www.empireonline.com/
But that slight tilt does not undermine the film’s great accomplishment. In a swift 106 minutes, watching Dunkirk becomes a stunning and genuine experience, enveloping viewers in a way few movies ever do.
