Grilled Chicken on Himalayan Rock Salt Block


Chicken breast pieces-350 gms
juice of 1 lemon
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala powder-1 tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
chilli powder-1 tablespoon
ginger garlic powder(paste)- 1 tsp
oregano-1/2 tsp
olive oil-2 tablespoons


Marinate the chicken pieces with lemon juice and all the other ingredients .Rub some olive oil on the pieces. Marinate this for 2 hours.

No need of adding even a pinch of salt as the required salt is absorbed from the salt block.

Before cooking preheat the salt block for 15 minutes in medium to high flame. Sprinkle some water and check if the block is heated well.
Rub some olive oil or coconut oil with the help of a brush .
Place the marinated chicken pieces on the block and cook well on both sides.
Each side takes aroound 10 to 15 minutes in
medium flame.Check the pieces are cooked well.Garnish with coriander leaves.Add lemon juice if required.
Delicious grilled chicken is ready to serve.

After cooking allow the salt block to cool completely. Wipe off with a wet sponge or cloth and clean well.
